Ports of Entry and Departure in the Saskatchewan Southeast Region:
Southeast Saskatchewan receives a high volume of traffic on its highways and through the various points of entry and departure in the region. Recent statistics released by the Canadian Border Service Agency (CBSA) indicate that the volume of entries into south east Saskatchewan is up 20% over 2009 figures (refer to “Total Number of Vehicles Entering Southeast Saskatchewan in 2009” table below). Individuals can now monitor border crossing wait times on Twitter, the social networking and microblogging service online.
Within Canada, south east Saskatchewan has two points of entry/departure with Manitoba, one main point of entry/departure north to Moose Jaw and Regina, and one to south central Saskatchewan immediately to the west. The statistics for these points are as follows:

Highway #13 Saskatchewan/Manitoba border 327,405 total vehicles/year, 77,555 commercial vehicles/year

The south east region has seven land-based points of entry between south east Saskatchewan and the United States of America (U.S.); six within North Dakota which operates on Central Time (CT) and one with Montana which operates on Mountain Time (MT), one hour later than CT.
